Establishing Connections & Bridges for Diverse Young Men
At The Bridge Builder, we seek to provide support to school age children, young adults, and others with unique needs in our community. We have impacted the lives of many children through our work with Metro Nashville Public Schools. Through our school-based work, we have facilitated free haircuts for students and getting supply closets set up for teachers with school supplies such as: paper, pencils, snacks, and book-bags. We have also worked to promote the success of higher education by purchasing new suits for young men preparing for Tennessee State University’s and Fisk University's commencement exercises. It’s amazing to see these young men rebrand themselves as “new men” coming out of college.
Outside of education, the Bridge Builder works in the community with the Rescue Mission, RMDH, and Northwest YMCA to provide for the needs of the less-fortunate in our community.
While the outreach, mentoring and nurturing of diverse collegiate men are foundational principles of the program. The Bridge Builder firmly believes in the uplift and support of the community in which it serves.
